Hearts are full
December 14, 2024 – Elwood, NJ
The Pine Barren Venom Jeep Club, in partnership with the New Jersey State Park Police, hosted a heartwarming toy drive Saturday December14th, bringing the community together to celebrate the spirit of the season. This annual event brings Local organizations and volunteers working side by side to make the holidays brighter for families in need. “From the bottom of my heart, thank you all so much for wrapping your arms around less fortunate children. I know this economy is tough. You all dug deep and made sure Santa showed up for these kids.” said Club Treasurer Erin Szabo
The event featured the Elwood Volunteer Fire Department, with their fire truck proudly driven by Chief Lou Critelli. As well as the Burlington County K9 Search and Rescue team. A thrilling helicopter flyover by the New Jersey State Police left attendees in awe, while Matty G Dogz provided delicious hot dogs, adding a festive touch.
A highlight of the day was the “Stuff the Jeep” initiative, where monetary donations were transformed into carefully selected toys. This effort was led by BCK9SAR member Ginny, Erin, Tricia, and Carly, with special elf helpers Gianna and Nicholle lending their support. The team worked tirelessly to ensure every dollar brought joy to a child in need.
The collected toys are being delivered to the Pinelands United Methodist Church, where dedicated volunteers will sort, pack, and distribute them to local families. This effort ensures children who might otherwise go without will experience the magic of the holidays.
The Pine Barren Venom Jeep Club extends heartfelt thanks to the Elwood Volunteer Fire Department, Burlington County K9 Search and Rescue, Matty G Dogz, Mullica Twp. Rec Association, and the New Jersey State Park Police led by Rick Maxie for their enthusiastic participation.
Steve Szabo, president of the Pine Barren Venom Jeep Club, expressed his gratitude:
“This toy drive showcased the power of community. Watching everyone come together to bring smiles to children and families is a reminder of what the holiday season is all about. Thank you to all the members, partners, and donors who made this event a success.”
The Pine Barren Venom Jeep Club and the New Jersey State Park Police are proud to have brought the community together for this incredible event. Thanks to the efforts of so many, the true spirit of the season will be felt by countless families this holiday season. “It was nice to see all the members new and old come together for such a great cause. It’s nice to see some new faces and watch this event grow each year. It’s always a pleasure to work with NJSPP and BCK9SAR.” added Club Vice President Ryan Laskey
They didn't stop there
