PBVJC Clean Team doing what they do best.

Pine Barren Venom Jeep Club completes another Adopt-a-Highway Clean-Up Effort on Route 206.

Today, members of the Pine Barren Venom Jeep Club took to Route 206 in New Jersey with a mission to clean up their community. This was as part of the Adopt-a-Highway program clean-up #4 of 6. Known as the “Clean Team,” members of the club donned their gear and rolled up their sleeves to tackle litter and debris along the roadside.

Route 206, a vital artery connecting communities and serving as a scenic route through the region, has faced challenges with litter accumulation in recent months. However, with the Pine Barren Venom Jeep Club’s “Clean Team” and their dedication, the landscape is undergoing a transformation.

That's just trashy.

Under an overcast spring morning, the volunteers worked tirelessly, armed with trash bags, gloves, grabbers, and a determination to make a difference. From discarded bottles to plastic bags and even larger items, no piece of litter was too small for the Clean Team to handle.

“This is a vital part of our community”, said Steve Szabo, president of the Pine Barren Venom Jeep Club. “We love exploring the Pine Barrens, and we want to ensure that future generations can enjoy it as much as we do. We pride ourselves in helping “on” and “off” paved roads “

Our team makes it happen!

The New Jersey Adopt-a-Highway program, established to promote environmental stewardship and community involvement, relies on the dedication of groups like the Pine Barren Venom Jeep Club “Clean Team”. Volunteers help maintain the cleanliness of roadways across the state. PBVJC handles this piece of the puzzle with pride and dedication.

“We’re grateful for the partnership with the NJ Adopt-a-highway program,” said Szabo, “We are proud of our volunteers in all our areas of community support, we are proud to work with the “Clean Team” volunteers and are humbled by their commitment to keeping this portion of Route 206 clean. It is inspiring, and it sets a great example for others in the community especially our youth.” Pine Barren Venom Jeep Club is full of amazing people willing to help in all our areas of community support.”

Proud is an understatement.

As the morning progressed, the efforts of the Clean Team paid off, with bags of trash collected and the roadside transformed into a cleaner, more inviting space. Passersby honked their horns and waved in appreciation as they witnessed the positive impact of the volunteers’ work.

“It feels good to know that we’re making a difference,” added Szabo.” Every piece of trash we pick up is one less eyesore and one step closer to a cleaner environment. I am honored to be a part of such a great community of people willing to help.”

Until next time!

With their mission accomplished for the day, the members of the Pine Barren Venom Jeep Club Clean Team departed Route 206 with a sense of pride and satisfaction. Knowing that their efforts had made a tangible difference in their community. As they drove off in their Jeeps, they left behind not just cleaner roads, but a reminder of the power of collective action and the importance of preserving our natural environment. All while leading a good example for those to follow.
